In September 2023, students will create Pinwheels for Peace. The pinwheels are created to raise awareness for peace throughout the world and in all communities.
For the 18th year, Colonial students created the pinwheels for display for September 21st, International Peace Day. To learn more about this project, visit Pinwheels for Peace.

Peace means calm and
everyone getting along.
How can we make a difference?
Artists (YOU) create a pinwheel and display it for International Peace Day
on September 21st.
Everyone will know you wish for peace!
The pinwheel is our symbol for peace!

To do:
1. Cut along the curvy diagonal lines. STOP cutting when the line stops.
2. Punch out a hole in each corner and in the middle.
3. Using a crayon, write your name on the square. Where? ANYWHERE on the paper.
4. Using a crayon, write the word PEACE on the square. Where? ANYWHERE!
5. Using a crayon, draw a design/pattern or a picture on BOTH sides of the pinwheel square.
Be peaceful!
